DiscoverAnimal park
At the bottom of the Rochaules garden, come and discover myths and legends... a space dedicated to wildlife...
But beware! You are not entering a zoo, you are entering the home of our animals, our multi-legged companions, highly protected by the korrigans.
Do you know these little elfin creatures?.... They took possession of the place a long time ago. But don't worry, they only come out on full moon nights....
During the day, come and enjoy the estate: an incredible setting, a good crêperie, and animals just waiting to be petted.
We open the doors of our garden to you because there is nothing more beneficial than coming into contact with an animal. As trained veterinarians, we are committed to raising your awareness of animal life as a whole.
The park does have fences, but not to lock up our companions, rather to protect a rose bush from our sheep's voracious appetite, to protect prey from predators living in the surrounding forest, and to protect your plates from our ponies' greed... ! Freedom begins where that of others ends. We are committed to ensuring that everyone's needs and desires are respected.
To all those who are able to respect them, they will be ready to help you discover their world.
WARNING: The park is not yet open! It will open at the end of winter.:
Outside animals are not allowed in the park for obvious reasons of peace and safety for our animals, but they are allowed in the crêperie under the responsibility of their owners and must be kept under control.
It is forbidden to feed the animals yourself. We offer meal bags suitable for our animals' diet to encourage interaction and initial contact. On sale (€2).
As a reminder, bread and other processed products are a nutritional disaster for animals of any kind... never give them to anyone! Our pony Biniou is a victim of this: born to a mother fed on bread... You cannot fail to see the damage.
Picnics are not allowed.
We do not produce or exploit our animals in any way. They are only here to live as they wish, as our companions in life. If our hens lay eggs, we enjoy them, yes, and each one will have all the appropriate facilities and care from the beginning to the end of its life, whether it lives for 10 years without laying a single egg or lays very productively.
The history of our animals has not always been rosy; most of them are survivors of human cruelty. Abuse through lack of care, neglect, failure to respect their basic needs, abusive births... Each one will have a new-found wisdom and resilience to pass on to you. If they are here, it is because they still love humans and will be open to your presence and interaction. We make sure of this every day.
Come and enjoy a little getaway to Les Rochaules for a wonderful afternoon!
